Elwood (Lenny) Walter, beloved son of Elwood Walter Sr and Harriet Jane (Henry) Walter, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Claysburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on August 25, 1952, and lived a full and joyful life.

Lenny is survived by his sister, Edna Markel (Butch), Brother, Charles Walter (Linda), Brother, Richard Walter, and Sister Tina Walter. He is also survived by his wonderful caregivers Flitch & Sara Claycomb & his life long best friend Larry (Pork) Sell.

Lenny graduated from Claysburg Kimmel High School in 1960 and went on to help in the Emmanuel Baptist Church organization, where he found great fulfillment in giving back to his community.

He had a passion for Curve Baseball and Stock car racing, spending many weekends cheering on his favorite teams and drivers. Lenny was known for his great sense of humor and his kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Although Lenny had no children of his own, he loved all his nieces & nephews and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He will forever be remembered for his love of life and his dedication to those he cared about. Rest in peace, Lenny. You will be dearly missed.
