Elmer MilesWinterset, IowaElmer Miles, Jr. of Winterset, passed away on July 18, 2017. Elmer was born on October 12, 1958 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Edith McClellan and Elmer Miles, Sr.Elmer, formerly in the Navy, owned Miles Carpet Cleaning Services. He lived in Des Moines for most of his life. Elmer is survived by his wife, Connie Miles and two sons, Levi (Courtney) Miles and Walker Miles, and grandson Jerice and granddaughter Paisley. He is also survived by his sisters, Beth Adams, Marilyn Sherwood, Kathy Geerlings, stepmother Doris Render, step-siblings Vicki McLaughlin, Paula Van Patten, Geno Van Patten, Valerie Johnson and Eric Van Patten, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Harold Render, his nephew Armando Perez-Pena and his sister Cindy Segovia. A Celebration of Life will be held at Legion Park in West Des Moines on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
