Elizabeth Newsome, 81, of Suffolk, Va, passed Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Elizabeth was born to James C. Newsome, and Sadie M. Porter, January 16, 1938 in Suffolk, Virginia. Elizabeth recieved her diploma at Forest Glen High School in Suffolk, Va, on June 1956. She married Crawford Hunter in July 1972, and they lived together in Suffolk. Elizabeth worked at Walmart and FoodLion as a Produce Associate until she retired in 1992. She also volunteered at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Elizabeth was on the Pastors Aide and also acted as church Secretary.

Elizabeth is survived by 4 children: Carolyn Turner, Christine Newsome, Charles Newsome, and Lillian Davis. She also is survived by 10 grandchildren.
