Elizabeth "Betty" Fredericks, 96, passed away on November 21, 2016 in Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston, Mass. Elizabeth was born on July 4, 1920, in Waltham, Mass. She was an LPN at St. Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester for 29 years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, where she mentored many new grads and young nurses during her career. Betty loved to travel, dance, and spend time at the ocean, but her greatest love was her family. We are thankful for the many years of memories and love that she gave to us. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond, whom she shared 65 loving years. She leaves behind two sons, Richard "Freddy" Fredericks and his wife Jan, and their daughters, Melissa Fredericks and Becki Karampalas, all of Marshfield, Mass; Ray Fredericks of Kissimmee, Fla., daughter, Elaine (Fredericks) Pappas and her husband Gregg of Westminster and their son Gregg Pappas of Templeton. Betty also leaves 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Nurses and Caregivers from Wingate who took such excellent care of Betty and showed so much kindness to her over the last five years. Elizabeth's funeral will be held in Christ Church, 569 Main St., Fitchburg on Saturday, December 10, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101
