Elizabeth "Sandy" BrunoToms RiverElizabeth "Sandy" Bruno of Toms River passed away peacefully with her son Aidan by her side on the 18th day of December, 2016 at Rose Garden Nursing Home. Elizabeth was born on August 26, 1947 in Elizabeth, NJ to Rose and Steven Pope and lived in northern NJ before moving to Toms River in 1986. She is survived by her daughter Brooke Spurlock and 3 sons Deane LaBranche, Aidan Pope and Raymond LaBranche, sister Irene Lovendoski and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Rose Pitt and brother Steven Pope. Elizabeth enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, loved to crochet, was an amazing cook and made the best pastries during the holidays that we'll all miss. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Elizabeth's life during a memorial service on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 11am to 1pm at Ocean County Cremation Service, 1252 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ. The family would like to extend special thanks for the wonderful and compassionate care given by both Meridian Hospice and the staff at Rose Garden Nursing Home.
