Mrs Elizabeth "Bess" Green was born on March 7, 1937 in Allendale, South Caroline to the union of Gary Youmans Sr. and Essie Youmans. She attended thepubli schools in Allendale. South Carolina. Bess also attened Allen Chapel AME Church.

Elizabeth "Bess" Green moved to Jacksonville Florida in 1956 early in her life with her hot of her siblings with hope of a prosperous life. She leter met and marred James Alexander Green. She was employed by Taylor Residences where she later retired at the age of 80. She instilled in family love, a steadfast work ethic, faith and patience. Elizabeth is the embodiment of "Peace Be Still"

Bess was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters: Ellla Mae, Mattie, Mary and Mammie Youmans and Martha Priester; four brothers Gary, Warren,Solomon,and William Youmans; and grandchild, Rodricka Youmans.

Bess leaves to cherish her memories 5 sons: Johnny Sr. Jessie and Lionel Youmans, Alexander and Anthony Green; 4 daughters Levonne Nelson (Jack), Sharon Wingard (Louis), Wanda Allen(Steve) and Gwendolyn Green; 10 grandchidren: La'Keshia, Jhonny Jr, Shundesha, Shacoby, Dwan and Shalonda Youmans, Kendesha, DeJuan, Shakeria Pough and Tatianna Jenkins; 6 great grandchilren; 2 great~great grabdchildren; sister, Eliza Wright.

"Bess" answered th Call of the Lord on August 10th, 2019 surrounded by all 9 of her children and a host of family and friends.
