Elizabeth Ann (Liz/Libby Ann Irwin) Gossmanof Carmel, Indiana, passed away on October 16, 2016. She was born on May 1, 1926. Early in her Indianapolis childhood, her father died unexpectedly and her mother, Mattie P. Irwin, raised 8 children on her own. Liz graduated from Tech High School. She later worked at several office positions, until she raised her family in Greenwood. She brought laughter to all those around her and was life's most special blessing to her family.She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Robert Gossman. Her pride was her three daughters; Lynn (Greg) Morrison, Leslie (Mike) Holmes, and Leigh Ann Erickson, as well as her grandson Nicholas Erickson.Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
