Pharr - Eliodoro G. Pruneda, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away on November 26, 2016. Eliodoro was born on July 3, 1928 in Pharr, to parents Juan Pruneda and Rita Garza Pruneda.Mr. Pruneda was a U.S. Army Veteran and after his tour of service, worked as a home builder and building contractor for over thirty years and attended building and drafting school. In 1950, Eliodoro married Olga Narvaez Pruneda and were to celebrate their 66th anniversary on December 31st. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Pruneda and Rita Garza Pruneda, and brothers, Alfredo, Juan, and a grandson, Richard Anthony Pruneda.Eliodoro, whom everybody called "Lolo", was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Olga Narvaez Pruneda, daughter Olga Himelda De Leon, son Leo (Angie) Pruneda, son Hugo (Nancy) Pruneda, son Ricardo (Joy) Pruneda, daughter Sandra (Narciso Jr.) De La Cruz, and grandchildren: Jennifer (Edgar) Porras, Christina A. (Cesar Rodriguez) De Leon, DDS, Hector Nicholas (Heather) De Leon, Roberto (Rosalinda) De Leon, Theresa O. Pruneda, Julianne (Joe) Garza, Kimberly Pruneda, Shannon Pruneda, Narciso Eli De La Cruz III, Noel Andres (Roxanne) De La Cruz, Dr. Nathaniel Ray De La Cruz, Sandra Joy De La Cruz.He is also survived by his great-grandchildren and his sisters Manuela Ventura, Rosie P. (John) Lindquist and Margarita Medrano, brothers Ramiro (Maria) Pruneda, Gilberto (Sylvia) Pruneda, and Jose "Joe" Pruneda.A Rosary will be recited at De Leon Funeral Home in Pharr, Texas on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. on December 2, 2016 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Pharr with Father Genaro Henriquez to officiate and burial will be at the RGV State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas at 2:00 P.M. De Leon Funeral home will be in charge of his funeral arrangements.
