Mr. Elijah Ware, Sr. was born August 24, 1947 in Moultrie, Georgia o the late Governor Ware, Sr. and the late Bertha Medders. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, he departed this life at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia.

Mr. Ware was a member of Rochelle Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board.He worked for over 40 years as a truck driver at Riverside Manufacturing Company. In his spare time, he loved to be outside, loved to talk and work on lawnmowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 45 years, Martha Poole Ware; two daughter, Tammy Donaldson and Terry Jackson; four brothers, Edward Ware, Willie C. Ware, Governor Ware, Jr., and Eddie Lee Ware; four sisters, Rosa Lee Ware, Bertha Jean Ware, Leola Ware and Hazel Ware.

He leaves to cherish his memory; three daughters, Latasha Ware and Alisha Ware both of Moultrie, Georgia, and Annie Bailey of St. Louis, Missouri; three sons, Elijah Ware, Jr., Tommy Ware, and Calvin Ware all of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
