Elija Hodge, beloved son of Bryan Dale Hodge and Heather Nicole Brooks, breathed his last on August 2, 2024, in Cambridge, Ohio.

Born on September 22, 1998, Elija lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a whole lot of basketball. He graduated from East Clark High School in 2017, where he spent more time on the court than in the classroom.

Elija had a talent for making people smile, whether he was cracking jokes or pulling off impossible shots on the court. He had a passion for the game that was unmatched, even if his jump shot needed a little work.

Despite never having children of his own, Elija leaves behind a legacy of joy and laughter that will be remembered by all who knew him. He may have left this world too soon, but we take comfort in knowing that he's probably up in heaven, challenging the angels to a game of one-on-one.

Rest in peace, Elija. You may have traveled to the big basketball court in the sky, but your memory will always be a slam dunk in our hearts.
