Elfriede Bonk1938 - 2016Elfriede Bonk, 78, of Twin Lakes, Wis., died Saturday evening, June 4, 2016, at her home.The former Elfriede Stahl was born on April 3, 1938, in Schwanford, Germany, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Hilda) Stahl. On April 20, 1974, at Chapel on the Hill in Palos Park, Ill. Elfriede was united in marriage to Roger S. Bonk. She move to Twin Lakes from Junction City, Kan., 44 years ago.Elfriede worked for 27 years at Nestles in Burlington. She loved flowers, all animals and the outdoors. Elfriede was a loving and caring woman.Elfriede is survived by her husband of 41 years, Roger; one daughter Diane (Richard) Peters Wing of Harlingen, Texas; one son Steve (Tracy) Peters of Burlington, Wis.; daughter-in-law Kristi Peters of Genoa City, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Cillian and Shane Wing, Haley, Trevor and Zoe Peters and Calvin and Kaci Peters; three great grandchildren, Austin, Avery and Stella; one sister Ilse Radford of San Angelo, Texas; and dear friend of Cheryl Peters of Twin Lakes, Wis.She was preceded in death by one son Larry Allen Peters on Feb. 1, 2014; one sister Hilde; and one brother-Joseph. In keeping with Elfriede's wishes, private family services will be held at the Haase-Lockwood & Assoc. Funeral Home and Crematory in Twin Lakes.
