Eleanor WesleyJacksonEleanor Tidwell Wesley, age 86, of Jackson, MS passed away peacefully Thursday, March 16, 2017.Eleanor was born on December 31, 1930 in Jackson, MS. She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Pearl (Elam) Tidwell. Her brother, the late Hugh H. Tidwell of New York City, preceded her in death. Eleanor was also preceded in death by Lera Maron "Wes" Wesley, her beloved husband of 43 years. Some of her favorite years were spent alongside her husband while he served in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Service, they moved to Jackson, MS where she was a devoted wife and homemaker.She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Wesley Barrett and Laurie Wesley Adams (Kent); three grandchildren; Christie Barrett Vaughn, Allison Noble Siddall (Scott) and Wesley Noble; and three great grandchildren.Eleanor's faith and love for God was evident in the way she lived her life and loved unconditionally. Her family remembers her as someone who was always kindhearted, patient, understanding and accepting of others. Her endearing quiet demeanor and sharp wit will be sorely missed.The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Orchard where she resided the last six years.Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lakewood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
