Eleanor was born on March 27, 1927, in East Rochester, New York, daughter of the late John and Helen (Talarico) Cimicata. She graduated from East Rochester High School and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Honor Volleyball Team. She was a member of St. Jerome's (NY) Choral Group, the Cenacle Retreat League in Rochester, and the Caroll Club. She studied music at the Eastman School of Music and was an avid reader and bowler. She then worked for the Springettsbury Township Parks and Recreation Department before retiring in 2000, and was honored at a Township Supervisors meeting as the first woman to retire from the township with over 19 years of service. She was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Church and a former member of the adult choir. She was devoted to her husband, her daughters, and her grandchildren who will forever miss her.
