Ms. Elaine Swanson was born June 11, 1968 to the blessed union of the late Mr. Joe Swanson and Mrs. Hattie Jones Swanson in Dekalb County Georgia. 

Elaine attended Columbia High School in Dekalb County. She worked at Grady Memorial hospital for many years and was active in the community.

On Friday, April 19,2019, late evening Elaine was called home. She went to rest in the welcoming arms of the lord; along with her loving parents. 

Elaine Swanson leaves to cherish her loving memories and legacy to her two children; Derrick (Brittany) Swanson and Jamal Swanson; her two sisters, Gloria(Daniel) Williams and Virginia (Carmos) Owens; one brother, Michael Swanson. 

She was a devoted grandmother of 5 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and close friends Janice Thompson and Julia Maine.
