Edward A. Wozniak1932 - 2013Edward A. Wozniak, 81, died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington.Edward was born on April 28, 1932, to the late Alex and Frances (Wygowski) Wozniak in Racine, Wis. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corp from 1952-1955, serving in Korea. On June 18, 1972 he married Karen Eberhardy.Edward was an avid Packer, Badger and Racine Raider fan. He enjoyed drum and bugle corps shows. Edward was on the Iwo Jima Float each 4th of July parade in Racine in the 60s. He enjoyed annual Kentucky Derby trips with friends. He also enjoyed waterskiing, boating and playing cribbage. He spent 6 months yearly in Georgia with family. Edward was a member of the VFW in Racine and Georgia.Edward is survived by a son, Randall J. (Darline) Wozniak of Sturtevant, Wis.; and a daughter, Kelly (John) Smith of Racine, Wis. He is also survived by two step daughters, Shelley (Rick) Bell of Duluth, Ga., and Stacey (Doug) Juga of Pleasant Prairie, Wis. He is further survived by eleven grandchildren Alex (Tina), Mindy (Todd), Andrew (Dana), Jared, Courtney, Hana, Kelly (Joe), Chelsey, Chase, Logan and Kayla, seven great grandchildren Rebecca, Sophia, Zander, Andrew, Jordyn, Ava and Eva and by his sister Eleanor Mischo of Racine, Wis.Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen, and his brother Ray.The family would like to thank the staff from Boland Hall at the VA, Burlington Hospital and Aurora Hospice.A short memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery chapel.
