Davies, Edward N.Edward Nicholas Davies, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017 in Bradenton, FL. He was born on August 26, 1920 in Linden, WI to Jahn & Mary (Tredinnick) Davies.Ed proudly served his country in the US Army in WWII, doing his tour of duty in New Guinea. After the service, he and Phyllis were married in Fresno, CA. They were married for 68 years prior to her death in 2012. They welcomed 2 children: Karen born in 1948 and Richard born in 1956. Ed spent a lifetime of giving, opening his home to whomever may need help, and never will be forgotten.Ed is survived by his daughter Karen Davies and son Ric (Terry) Davies, granddaughter Kim (Dale) Brehmer, grandson Dean Davies, great-grandchildren Bryce & Brooke Brehmer; brothers Ralph, Tom (Shirley), Don (Rose), Doug (Liz), sisters Emma Jean & Nancy as well as numerous nieces & nephews in both the Davies & Bunker families. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Phyllis, his parents and in-laws, brothers Emerson & Dick, sisters Margaret & Mary Lou. A private graveside memorial service with full military honors will be held at a later date.
