Edward Rice, lovingly known as "Eddy" or “Eddie Spaghetti” to his family and friends, peacefully passed away on February 19, 2026, in Columbia, Maryland. He was born on June 7, 1935, to William and Melinda Rice.

Eddy was a devoted husband to Grace Rice, whom he married in 1955. Together, they raised three wonderful children: George Rice Sr., Susan, and Thomas.

One of Eddy's greatest joys in life was spending time with his six beloved grandchildren; Cassandra Rice Dustin Rice, Jerad Rice, Koren Hoke-Rice, Ashly Rice, and Averrie Hoke. He adored them all and cherished every moment he spent with them.

Eddy had many hobbies that brought him happiness throughout his life. He enjoyed hunting, reading, working on house projects, and bird watching. He found peace and solace in nature and always made time to appreciate the world around him.

Eddy will be remembered for his kind heart, vibrant spirit, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
