Edward Keith RiceClarksville, TNRetired CSM Edward Keith Rice, 78, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.Edward was born on December 9, 1938, in Emmett, ID to the late James Rice and Wanda Flowers Rice. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rita Rice and two brothers, Thomas Rice and William Rice.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Friday, August 4, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Edward was a Retired U.S. Army Veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam. He was also a Retired Mail Handler from the U.S. Postal Service.Edward is survived by four sons, Edward Rice (Shirley) of Hopkinsville, KY, Thomas Rice (Shannon) of Clarksville, TN, Robert Rice (Sue) of Hawaii, and Michael Rice (Carrie) of Clarksville, TN; three daughters, Maria McClure (Michael) of Clarksville, TN, Jackie Meany (Max) of Colorado, and Cathy Garas (Constantine) of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Mina Portrey Simonsen of Ione, WA and Donna Watterlin of Meridian, ID; fifteen grandchildren, Monique Whitty, Christopher Sampley, Deniese Gillespie, Jennifer Hoffman, Kaitlin Rice, JerryMax Meany, Tiffany Meany, Tina Marie Garas, Steven Garas, Alexander Garas, Lauren Garas, Lily Rice, Isabelle Chen Rice, Alexis Chen Rice, and Sheena McClure; eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Pascal and Gabriele Glatt.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
