MOUNT PLEASANT - Edward J. Proksa, 88, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born on September 7, 1923 to the late Joseph and Anna (Adametz) Proksa in Chicago, IL. He was educated in the schools of Chicago. Edward entered the US Navy in 1943 during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. On November 22, 1943 he married Sadie Brucato in Chicago. She preceded him in death on February 26, 1986. Edward worked as a mechanic for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 42 years. Edward enjoyed playing in the stock market. Edward is survived by his son Robert E. (Ella) Proksa of Pleasant Prairie, his granddaughters Jenise (John) Payne, Tracy (Joseph) Atkins and Marie (Tod Manning) Proksa and his great grandchildren Jonathon Payne, Jacob Payne, Jesselin Payne, Zachary Atkins, Nathan Atkins, Mason Manning and Xander Manning.
