Edward Joseph Gingras Sr. August 4, 1932 - December 6, 2016 Edward Joseph Gingras Sr. of Hughson, California passed away on December 6, 2016. Ed was born on August 4, 1932 in New York. Ed requested his obituary include his own words, which are as follows: "It can be said that I have had a very interesting life and have had a multitude of occupations and experiences. Throughout them all I have met some really interesting people. Some were very distinguished folks and others just plain folks but all were important in my life and in some form or another made my life a full and complete experience. I have always tried to be a true friend to those that would accept my friendship. As with all of us, there were those who would not and to those I would say I'd be there if you need me, just for the asking. I have never intentionally hurt anyone and if I have inadvertently done so, I can only ask your forgiveness. We were all put here for the purpose of, if possible, to enhance and enrich the lives of others we have been privileged to encounter in our lives and that has been my goal. Always realize that life has its joys and sorrows. Have had my share of both and I will be the first to say that sometimes though we many not recognize the significance of either at the time they happen, it often becomes apparent later on, that there was a lesson learned from both as a result. I made many mistakes in my life and learned from them also and tried to live accordingly. I also had many successes and was eternally grateful for the blessings gained from them. We are all given a limited time here and can make the most of what we have been given. I strived to do that and hopefully have accomplished that end. I don't believe in long extended obituaries that list a person's accomplishments and history. Those who know us will remember us for what we either did or did not do. To others, those facts are just words. With that said, I will close this episode. Ed" Ed will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Nella, California next to his wife of 47 years, Edith.
