We are sad to announce the passing of Edward F. Pearson, beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend. Ed peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the age of 79.

Born on April 6, 1945, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Ed grew up with a passion for music, sports and a deep love for his community. After graduating from high school, he went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, where he earned commendations for his dedication and courage.

After his service, Ed returned to Michigan and began working at Pfizer, retiring after 38 years. He earned his BBA at Western Michigan University.

He volunteered at his local church, the Air Zoo and Knights of Columbus. As a Master Gardener, Ed loved helping out at the 5 Senses garden and various other sites.

Ed is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sally (Bliss) Pearson, his son Casey Pearson, sister Rosemary Candelario, four grandchildren, Nick, Mallory, Jojo, and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his son E.J. Pearson and parents Ruth and Bernard Pearson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ed's s honor to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.

Ed will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to family, and his unwavering faith. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
