EDWARD WEATHERS, 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed on February 22, 2022. BUD was born on September 14, 1930. BUD was a member of the Eminence Baptist Church, but had attended Shelby Christian Church for the past 31 years. He loved the boys of summer, especially Little League and the Little League World Series. He enjoyed coaching ball, his red pickup trucks, gardening, his chickens, UK Men's Basketball and loved mowing the yard with his John Deere tractor. He was a five year Kentucky National Guard Veteran. In his early years, he worked for the Kentucky Utilities Company in Shelbyville. He retired from Kentucky State government, where he worked as an Electrical Utilities Inspector for the Public Service Commission for 16 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Weathers and Elizabeth Corine Weathers; his sister, Katherine Joyce Reynolds; and his daugther, Laranda Weathers.
Bud was born and lived most of his life in Eminence. He is survived by his daughter, Laramda Weathers of Frankfort; his son, Edward Jr of Shelbyville; Eminence; his brother, Joe Weathers of Shelbyville; his special sister/cousin, Shirley Stivers Clark of Frankfort; His grandchildren Louietta Young, Lavanda Young, Allen Young and Billy Montgomery all of Nc and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March. 01, 2022 at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday FEB. 28,2022 at the funeral home. Burial is at Grove Hill Cemetery.
