Edmond was the son of Micheal Hodges and Vera Ives. He was a loving father and played the role of mentor in his community.

Edmond attended Faithway Baptist Church in Suffolk, VA while serving as a deacon and assisting as the Sunday school teacher.

He worked at the Naval Hospital for many years and was preparing for retirement.

Edmond leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Vera Ives, father, Micheal Hodges, brother, Micheal Hodges Jr. of Portsmouth, sister, Vanessa Ives Smith of Portsmouth, along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves a special friend Candice Williams.
