Eddie CanterZANESVILLE: Eddie Canter, 82, of Zanesville, passed away at 9:43 p.m. Thur. Apr. 27, 2017 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on Nov. 24, 1934 in Zanesville, a son of the late Isaac and Stella (Madinger) Canter. He retired from United Technology after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Muskingum Valley Beagle Club and was nominated several times for the Breeder's Hall of Fame.He is survived by his wife of 52 years Carla Sue Canter. Two children Steven (Lisa) Canter and Christy (Jay) Fisher. Four grandchildren Steven, Meghan, Aubrey, and Jessica. One brother Tom (Janet) Canter. Three sisters Gloria Denny, Verna (Marlin) Lee, and Kay (Duane) Moore. Numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Jerry Canter and one sister Joy Marsh.Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sun. Apr. 30, 2017 at WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Mon. May 1, 2017 with his brother Tom Canter officiating. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Black Lung Association.
