A life well lived

On Saturday January 29,2022 Earnestine Hardeman a loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 76.

Earnestine was born May 25, 1945, in Henderson Texas to Monroe Medford and Easter Black. To this union,thirteen children were born.

Earnestine accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.


She became a member of Bible Way to Calvary Full Gospel Church in 1987, under the leadership of Pastor Bernice Jackson.

She worked for Parkland Memorial Hospital until 1992. Earnestine had a passion for helping others. She is survived by three siblings Ruth Hazel Medford, Kenneth Medford and Thomas Medford; daughters, Ophelia Mouton (Jeffrey), Sonya Harmon; 7 grandchildren,  Christopher (Whitney), Breana, Kevin (Lisa), Keana, Lysundra (Steve), Stasha, and Dewayne; 15 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Earnestine loved her family and good home cooking, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and reading her bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Easter Medford; husband, Alonzo Hardeman; 9 siblings;  and daughters, Regina Jones and Frances Jones.
