Earline Adams entered this life on October 26, 1938, and was raised in Buffalo, New York. She was the cherished daughter of the late Earl Barnes and Minnie Barnes, both of whom preceded her in death. Surrounded by her loving family, Earline peacefully transitioned on April 7, 2026. The Lord dispatched His precious angel to Buffalo General Hospital and called her home for her heavenly assignment.
Earline was educated in the Buffalo Public School System. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others, beginning her career as a Nurse’s Aide at Deaconess Hospital. After 42 years of faithful service in healthcare, Earline retired from Buffalo General Hospital, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion, dedication, and excellence.
A devoted mother first and foremost, Earline treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She had a bold and elegant sense of style, always impeccably accessorized—especially with her magnificent hats, which became her signature. Sewing was her passion; for many years she lovingly created outfits for her children, pouring care and creativity into every stitch.
Under the direction of Eugene Ogden and the Church of God, Earline accepted Christ. She later became a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she worked tirelessly using her nursing skills in service to others. Eventually, the Lord led her to Greater Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend James C. Blackburn, Jr., where she continued her faithful walk with God.
Earline was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Minnie Barnes, and her siblings Jessie Mae Jones, Allie Barnes, and Francis Jones.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children:
Karen Antman of Hampton, VA; Anthony J. McBride and Donna McBride of Las Vegas, NV; Earline Martin (Odell), Alonia McBride; Andrea McBride of Las Vegas, NV; Clarence (Shelley) Adams, Jr.
Earline’s legacy lives on through her 12 grandchildren: Odell Martin Jr (Yolanda), Jr., Geryll, Andranette “Peaches” Brzuzy (Wieslaw), Crystal, Shareta, Christopher, Michael, Jr., Kyersten “Missy,” Ashley, Aisha, Nico, and Ahonesty;
18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings Grace (Jane Parham), Shirley (Darrell Snapp), and Belton Hill, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
Earline was blessed to have a special love and place in her heart for Donald Collins, Norbert Collins, and Nicole Thompson, who held a deeply meaningful role in her life.
