Earl Parnell, 73, passed on March 16, 2023. He was born to Earnest parnell and Elaine mary parnell in St Louis, Missouri on January 27, 1950.Born into a distinguished jazz family, he studied classical music at Juilliard. He joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers at 18 and rapidly acquired a reputation for brilliant technique and outstanding improvisational talent. In 1982 he formed his own quentet ,it became a septet in 1988 and disbanded in 1994. He married Barbara parnell in 1968 and they lived together in St Louis, Missouri. Together they raised 2 children Barbaranda williams (spouse Osceola williams Sr), Marcus parnell (Lenda parnell). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren (Osceola williams jr) (liqsha williams) (pat parnell) (marcus parnell jr).
