Hawken, Jr., E. Robert Jan. 10, 1930 - Sep. 3, 2015 E. Robert Hawken, Jr. of Nokomis, FL and Avon Lake, OH, died peacefully on September 3, 2015 surrounded by loved ones. Bob was born on January 10, 1930 in Springfield, Ohio. He graduated from Wittenberg University where he met his beloved wife of 63 years and best friend, Marilyn. Bob was a cherished father to Sue (Tim Murphy), Jane (David Taylor), and Jim (Connie). He was loved by his grandchildren Brendan Murphy (Nicole), Kevin Murphy, Emily Taylor (Michael McCall), Meg Taylor, Natalie Hawken and Kerry Hawken. He was a dear brother-in-law to Pat Hawken and Allan and Eden Johnson, and he leaves several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents Jeannette and E. Robert Hawken, Sr. and his brother Jack. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force prior to becoming a C.P.A. He retired from McDonald & Company, Securities, Inc. He was involved in numerous church, community, health and education charities. He was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church, and the Mission Valley Country Club. He was devoted to his family, his faith, and his friends. A memorial service will be held at Venice Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM on Sat. Nov. 14, 2015.
