Dwight Dewayne StrongSouthaven, MSRev. Dwight "Dewayne" Strong, 51, of Southaven, MS, passed away December 24, 2016. He was the youngest of six born on October 18, 1965 to the late Willie Lee Strong, Sr. and the late Hurma Lee Rayborn Strong. Dewayne graduated from Fairley High School. He was a minister of the gospel and shared the good news of Christ to everyone he met. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Vernitta Strong; two sisters, Carole Strong Thompson (Gerald) of Houston, TX, Carleen Strong Tate (Cedric) of Southaven, MS; one brother, Reverend Roney Strong, Sr. (Dorothy) of Memphis, Tennessee. Viewing will be Friday, 5-6:45p.m at Brown Missionary Baptist Church Main Campus, 980 Stateline Rd., Southaven. A memorial service will be immediately after viewing.
