Dustin Lighter, 25, of Bardstown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016. He was the assistant manager for Valvoline Oil Change in Louisville and Shepherdsville. He was the owner and operator of Dustin's Lawn Equipment and Repair. Dustin loved to hunt and was a handyman to anyone who needed his help. Overall he was a great father, son, brother, fiancé and friend to many.Dustin was born on Dec. 2, 1990, in Martinsville, Ind., to Rachel and Barbara (Toon) Lighter. He was preceded in death by his granddaddy, Ralph Lighter, and memaw, Delores Toon.Survivors include his fiancé of five years, Alissa Gillahan; his children, Dalton and Colton Lighter; his parents, Rachel and Barbara Lighter; sisters, Angelica Shaw, Tasha Heath and Alexis Timm; his grandmommy, Elizabeth Lighter; papaw, Ronnie Toon; grandparents, Eddie and Barbara Bowles; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.A memorial service will be at a later date at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway in Louisville.
