Douglas Wilford MartinLANCASTER: Douglas Wilford Martin, 75, of Lancaster passed away on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at the Ohio State University Hospital. Doug was born on June 27th, 1941 to the late Edna Ashcraft in Newark, Ohio. He was an employee of Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent for 40 years and an attendee of the Fifth Avenue Church of Christ. Doug loved classic cars, especially Ford's. He enjoyed going to car shows and was a member of the Lancaster Car Club. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing other places.Doug is survived by his wife, Cheryl Kauffman Martin; daughter, Natalie (Patrick) Riley; step-children, David, Julie and Laurie; step-grandchildren, Sarah Ann Kauffman, Mary Beth Kauffman, and David Gary Guaraglia; brothers, Gene Curp and Jerry Martin; and nephews, Scott Martin and Thomas Martin.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Martin.Funeral services will be held on Friday January 6th, 2016 at 4:30PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Dave Tingler officiating. Friends may visit from 2:30PM until the service time. Dignity Cremation is to take place following the services.
