Doug was born on August 13th, 1954 in McArthur, CA, his parents are Martin and Rachel Courtright. Doug married Shirlene Lankford on June 14th, 1975 in Burney, CA. He was a heavy equipment operator. Doug loved life, he enjoyed fishing, shooting his guns, working on cars, carpentry, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a sense of humor that could brighten your life. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Doug was a hero to many. He had a huge heart and would do anything for his family and friends. He was the one person in life we could always count on. Doug is survived by his wife Shirlene, son Jason, daughter Lindsi, son-in-law Elias, grandchildren Jeremy, Jordan, Richie, Jayden, Madison, and Emilee, father Martin, brother Marvin, sister-in-laws Laurie, Norma, and Teresa. A celebration of life will be held on May 13th, 2017 at the Anderson VFW 3210 West Center Street Anderson, CA 96007 at 2:00 pm. All are welcome to attend.
