Dorothy Drake, a beloved member of the Durham community, passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on August 5, 1930, and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and grace. Dorothy was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering positivity. She touched the lives of many with her generous heart and gentle demeanor. She is survived by five daughters: Juliette Stevenson {Julie}, Rosalinda Lewis, Susan Anne, Jackie Drake, Brenda Drake 2 sons Joshua drake, Samuel lee drake;3 siters Ella Mae, Cora Mae, daisy Holmes;1 brother Nathaniel lee baker ;15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Dorothy's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her. May she continue to rest in peace.
