Dorothy Williams, age 74 of Lansing IL, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023. She is survived by her five children: Andre (Dionne) Williams, Darryl Williams, Angela (Claybourne) Miller and twins, Latonia Thomas and Latoya Griffith.

Seven grandchildren: Allen, Jaylin, Amber, Taylor, Jared, Jeremiah and Camille.

Former husband and lifelong friend, James Thomas, Siblings: special brother, Richard (Judy) Brownlee, Willa Jean Williams,

Sam (Anne) Brownlee, Arlester Brownlee, Tommy Lee and many other relatives & friends.

Dorothy is preceded in death by parents, Richard and Olivia Brownlee, several aunts, including special Aunt Velma (Uncle Ruben) Flannigan, sister Velma Holland, brother Maurice Buckley.

Dorothy dedicated her life to her work. She retired after 33 years with Cook County/ Stroger Hospital, Chicago, IL in a multitude of positions. She was an active and involved member of the Lighthouse Community Church in Lansing, IL, where she enjoyed weekly praise and worship. Dorothy was an avid fan of HSN and QVC. She enjoyed home shopping and the network personalities for many years.
