ROCHWICK, Dorothy "Dottie" Dorothy Smith Rochwick "Dottie", passed away on October 16, 2016 in Stockbridge, GA at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Rochwick "Rocky" and her son, Robert Allen Rochwick "Bob". Dottie is survived by her daughter in-law, Vicki Barton Rochwick; grandchildren, Robert B. Rochwick, Amanda Rochwick Hollier; great grandson, Sebastian Edward Hollier; sister, Joyce Smith of Pink Hill, NC; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Dottie was born on May 26, 1923 in Duplin County, NC. She was a volunteer at Georgia Regional, placing Christmas trees every Christmas for all to enjoy. She was a member of Chapel Woods Presbyterian Church in Decatur and also a member of the Georgia Federation of Women District 4(Decatur Woman's Club). Dottie was an activist in saving the historical Decatur Court house when Marta came to the city and wanted to use the property. The family will receive friends Friday, October 21 from 12:30 to 2 pm at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 2pm, Rev. Charles McGowan of Knoxville, TN will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens cemetery.
