Dorothy FergusonLUCAS: Dorothy Ferguson, 94, of Lucas passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was born on September 19, 1922 in Reynoldsburg, OH to the late Nathan and Dorothy (Dunlap) Brannon.Dorothy was a member of Caesarea Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family. Dorothy was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and greatly enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. Dorothy loved taking road trips and long car rides into the hills and mountains. She always enjoyed a good cup of coffee along with one of her favorite sweets and she loved her son's chicken noodle soup. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching I Love Lucy reruns, and was an animal lover.Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Michael (Shirley) Ferguson of Frederick, MD, Robert (Ellen) Ferguson of Mansfield, and Ronald Ferguson of Lucas; three grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Ferguson of Virginia Beach, VA, Danny Ferguson of Atlanta, GA and Shannon (Justin) Ashby of Cheyenne, WY; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald M. Ferguson; a sister, Anne Miller; and a brother, Bill Brannon.The family will observe private graveside services at Mansfield Cemetery at a later date.
