We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dorothy Jones, a beloved mother, partner, grandmother, and friend. Dorothy was born on June 9, 1930, in Melbourne, Florida to John and Martha Boyd. She passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 95.

Dorothy is survived by her partner, Eddie Jones, her children Michelle Smith (spouse Edward Smith), Marcus Jones, and David Jones. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren.

Dorothy attended Melbourne High School and went on to graduate from Famu University in 1953. She dedicated her career to education, working as a teacher at Palm Bay High until her retirement in 1997.

Outside of work, Dorothy was actively involved in volunteering at Greater Faith Temple. She had a passion for crochet and reading, always eager to learn and create new things.

Although she will be deeply missed, we take comfort in knowing that Dorothy lived a full and vibrant life. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family.

Rest in peace, Dorothy. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
