BROWN, Dorothea "Dottie" Age 88 of Springfield, formerly of South Charleston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Forest Glen Health Campus. She was born on February 14, 1928 in Franklin County, Ohio to the late Ulrich and Dorothea (Miller) Bauerle. In addition to her parents, Dottie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Wylie Brown; daughter-in-law, Janna Brown; brothers, Ulrich and William Bauerle and sister, Charlotte Strebel. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Ronald (Lynda) Brown and Roderick (Gretcen Marshall) Brown; grandchildren: Matthew (Sarah) Brown, Mindi (Shawn) Wilson and Patrick (Jennifer) Brown as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Dottie was a long-time member of South Charleston United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteering at London Senior Center and Miami View Elementary. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. with her service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Smalley officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com. Donations may be made to South Charleston United Methodist Church in Dottie's honor.
