She was born on April 23, 1928 in Rexmont, a daughter of the late Frank M. and Minnie M. Fisher Whitman. Doris was the wife of Aaron G. Whitman who passed away on September 7, 1996. Mrs. Whitman was a member of the Quentin U.C.C., where she was an Elder, Deacon and served on various church committees. Surviving are her sons, Rev. Jeffrey A. and Randy Whitman of Ballwin, MO, Rev. Curtis E. and Pam Whitman of Greene, NY, Douglas C. and Leslie Whitman of Linglestown; grandchildren, Rev. Kelli Whitman and Bryan Pringle, Kendra Whitman, Taralyn Whitman, Phillip Whitman, Leanna Whitman, Alicia Whitman, Justin Whitman; great-granddaughter, Abigail Pringle; brother, Carl and Joan Whitman of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her sister, Alma Leed; brothers, Luther and Aaron Whitman. A funeral service will be held in the Quentin U.C.C., 11 East Main St., Quentin, PA, 17083 on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
