Doris SumrallOn January 9, 2017, at the age of 81, Doris Kay Sumrall passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home in Fort Collins, CO. Doris was born on February 25, 1935 to Martin I. and Eunice N. Lapp in Washington, DC. On April 27, 1958, Doris married George E. Sumrall in Springfield, IL. They raised their three children, Jeanie, Kenneth and Nancy, by the Jersey Shore.Doris was enthusiastic about life and was happiest when laughing with her family and friends. Her laughter was infectious and she lived life to the fullest until the very end. She left us on a blustery day when the birds were soaring high on the wind, and we are at peace knowing she is now able to fly with the raptors she loved so much.Doris is survived by her three children, grandson, brother, sister-in-law and former spouse.
