It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Flowers, also lovingly known as "The Queen of Sass". Born on December 27, 1941, Doris lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, love, and plenty of attitude.
Doris, the daughter of Arnell Steve Taylor and Anita Mae Tayloe, grew up in Killeen, Texas where she quickly made a name for herself as the sharpest wit in town. She married the love of her life, James Flowers, in 1953 and together they raised four children who inherited her quick tongue and sense of humor. She is survived by her children Byron, Cassandra (and her spouse Michael), Alan, and LaTonia.
Doris had a talent for making even the most mundane tasks entertaining. From grocery shopping to attending PTA meetings, she always found a way to inject a little bit of mischief into everything she did. Her sharp tongue and no-nonsense attitude will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, Doris would have preferred a donation to the local animal shelter in her honor, as she always had a soft spot for furry friends. Rest in peace, Doris. We know you're up there cracking jokes with the angels.
You can to the family or in memory of Doris Flowers.
