Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 608 N. 7th St., Abilene with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00PMto 8:00PM at the funeral home. Doris was born on March 8, 1926 in Jewett, TX to the late Alex and Alpheia Williams. She retired as a nurse from Hendrick Medical Center. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Glen Carrington; and a daughter, Doris Newman. Survivors include her sons, Samuel Carrington of Grand Prairie, TX and Joe Carrington, Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; two brothers, Vernell Williams of Ft.
