White, 93, passed away at 9:12 p.m. on November 23, 2016 at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln, IL.Doris was born on January 17, 1923 in Logan County, IL; daughter of John and Bertha (Krueger) Geyer. Surviving Doris are her children: Faye (Terry) Kirk of Naples, FL; Shirley (Roger) Alberts of Surprise, AZ; Kaye Peters of San Diego, CA; John White of Madison, WI; one sister: Erna Hassebrock of Grandville, OH; one brother: Eugene Geyer of Mt. Pulaski, IL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one nephew; three nieces. Doris was preceded in death by her parents.Doris was a registered nurse at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln and retired as a nurse from Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital also of Lincoln. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Organization of Lincoln, IL. Doris was of the Lutheran Faith.Doris chose to be cremated. A private family graveside will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Doris' name to St. Clara's Manor of Lincoln, IL. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral home in Lincoln, IL.
