McEachern, Doris Anita Age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Doris was born on November 2, 1921 in Winfield, KS, to John Henry and Neva (Moore) Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold R. McEachern, and three brothers, Max, Morris, and Marion. Survivors include her sister, Marge Ellingboe of Topeka, KS; son, Barry (Pam) McEachern and their children, Sara McEachern and Kim Day; daughter, Sharon (Mary Beth) McEachern of New Bloomfield, CO; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Doris attended three grade schools, four high schools and one year of business college. She married Arnold McEachern in 1942 and enlisted as a WAVE in WWII. After her service, she became a mother and was interested in gardening, ceramics and antique refinishing. In her later years, she and Arnold were active in Friendship Force and traveled throughout the world making many life long friends. She was active in her church, Grace Presbyterian Church and several community organizations. Private services will be held.
