Donna R. WeikelDonna R. Weikel, 68, of Lafayette, passed away on November 17, 2013 at 6:25 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Central. Donna was born on January 19, 1945 in New Richmond, IN to the late Earl and Orah (Carter) Brown. Donna married William Martin Weikel on April 4, 1964 at the Linwood Church of Christ in Lafayette, and he survives. She worked as a nurse's aid at Heritage Health Care for several years. Donna was a member of the Wea Ridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed listening to country music, working on puzzle books, and having her family around. Surviving are three children, Angela (husband: Jerry) Roe of Lafayette, Shelia M. (husband: Zane) Gray of Lafayette, and Martin W. (wife: Misty) Weikel of Lafayette. Also surviving are two sisters, Karen (husband: Larry) Weigle, and Deborah (husband: Dean) Corbin, both of Humble, TX, and 18 grandchildren. Donna is preceded in death by her daughter, Monica Wallace, and one great grandchild, Chelsie Trueblood.Services will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2;00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Hippensteel Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Sager.
