Smith, Donna M.Donna M. Smith, 85, passed away on January 31, 2017 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on September 7th, 1931 in Marathon County in the town of Halsey, a daughter of LeRoy and Gertrude (Wilcox) Becker. Donna graduated from Athens High School. She married John "Jack" Smith on May 24, 1952 at St. Joseph's Church in Fond du Lac. Donna worked at Canvas Products. She was a homemaker, volunteer extraordinaire for Sacred Heart Elementary, a founding member of Sacred Heart Parish and the Altar and Rosary Society. Donna was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a member of the Fondy Riders Motorcycle Club with the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cross stitch, crafting, embroidery, gardening and sewing. Donna loved children and extended that love to many outside of her family.Donna is survived by her husband of 64 years, John; five children Deborah (John) Stephany, Rosemarie (Terry) Stotzheim, Michael (Shelly) Smith, Matthew (fiancé, Cheryl) Smith and Rachel (Mark) Jones; ten grandchildren, Leah, Kyle, Kevin, Samuel, Patrick, Michelle, Nicholas, Kassandra, Nathan and Marcus; and four great grandchildren Amelia, Kylie, Christian and Lily. She is further survived by two brothers, LeRoy and Earl, two sisters, Sally and Helen and many nieces and nephews.Donna was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Frank and one sister, Mary Ellen.Visitation: Donna's family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, from 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM.Service: A funeral service will follow visitation on Saturday at the Chapel at 1:30 PM.
