Donna worked at the old St. Ann's Hospital, and also worked at the former family medical clinic on Glacier Avenue. She worked with Dr. Rude and Dr. Joseph Riederer. For Donna, the Douglas 4th of July parade was always about the kids and for 25 years she could be seen in front of Gastineau School orchestrating the parade. Donna was an avid reader and cross-word puzzle solver. She loved to spend time sewing, stitching, crotchet, doing needle point, visiting with her grand kids which she enjoyed the most, and drafting housing floor plans – of which she has thousands. Donna shared dual citizenship for most of her life and became a full pledged US citizen in 1993. She will be remembered for her patience, her kind words, her wit, and her smile.
