Donald Neil Barrett, 82, of Ephrata, passed away on May 22 at the Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. Don was one of six children born to Andrew D. and Cecile M. (Wilcox) Barrett. Don was born on September 11, 1927 in Ellensburg. He was raised there and moved to Renton where he was employed by the Boeing Company as an Electro-Mechanical Technician. During thirty years of service he received awards for his work and dedication to the 737 and 747. In his leisure time, Don loved the outdoors, traveling, hiking, fishing, trap shooting and golf.Don was preceded in death by older sisters Dorothy M. Tyrell and Lois B. Whitehurst. Don is survived by wife Coralie M. of Ephrata; son Dan L. (Julie) of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Steven M. of Tacoma, Scott M., Andrew N. and Whitney G. all of Midland; daughters Karen A. Barrett of Ephrata, Debbie J. Barrett of Ephrata and grandson Sean A. Swanson of Federal Way; son Roger A. of Ephrata; sisters Bonnie B. Champie of Seattle and Shirley J. Lynch of Auburn; and brother James O. of Tacoma.There will be no formal service but the family suggests you spend time with your loved ones in his honor and memory.
