Marshall, DonaldDonald G. Marshall "The Marshall" "Double N", age 87, Neenah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Peabody Manor, Appleton. He was born on August 21, 1930, in Chicago, the son of Edwin and Anna (Thommes) Marshall. Donald was united in marriage to Eileen M. DeCaluwe on June 23, 1951, in Chicago, and she preceded him in death on November 21, 1998. He was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Parish, Neenah, where he served as a trustee, altar server, money counter, usher, and started and grew the scrip program. Donn also served as treasurer for the St. Mary's Central Booster Club and the Neenah Community Band. He was on the Neenah Commission for Aging as well as the City of Neenah Recycling Commission. Donald was an honorary alumni of St. Mary's Central and also received a special award from the Knights of Columbus for his volunteer activities. Donn enjoyed delivering gifts for the Christmas Giving Program, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, driving the luggage truck for Camp Onaway, and driving school bus for St. Mary's Catholic School System. When he wasn't shuttling people and things around, he loved to vegetable garden, woodwork, and helping other retirees with their insurance needs. Donn also bowled on the" Beershere" team.Donald is survived by his children: Kathy (Mark) Kellermann, Donna (Fritz) Block, Lori (John) Poss, and Tom Marshall; 7 grandchildren: Alan, Matthew, and Tom (Lindsay) Kellermann, Abigail and Alyssa Poss, and Everly and Eden Marshall; 2 great grandchildren: Jackson and Olivia Grace Kellermann; 2 sisters: Rosemary Badsing and Joan Drolet; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son: Michael Marshall; 2 brothers-in-law: Leonard Badsing and Dick Drolet; and 2 sisters-in-law: Evie Wrieth and Lorraine Christiansen.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with a parish prayer service at 7:00 pm, and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 until the time of the Mass. A memorial fund is being established. Please feel free to wear your Chuck Taylor's to his funeral. In Donn's memory, do a kind deed for someone.Donald's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who have thought of Donn with their kind visits and deed.
