Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, June 1, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery at Peru, IA.Don was born on December 20, 1932, in Winterset, to Roy and Alice Mae (Weber) Cooper. He had spent his lifetime around Madison County and worked at Dixon Feeds in Des Moines until its closing. He later worked at Rose Acres Farms in Winterset as nighttime security.Don is survived by four nieces, Norma Trester, Trish Sanders, Sandy Lane, Valarie Kerns, and Shelli Auten. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 PM.
